Florida’s vaunted defense lost another key player on Wednesday as LB Alex Anzalone has declared for the 2017 NFL Draft.
Anzalone penned a letter posted on FloridaGators.com that thanked Florida’s current coaches, as well as former head coach Will Muschamp and former defensive coordinator DJ Durkin. Anzalone concluded his writing stating: “Thank You for everything Gator Nation.”
Anzalone had 53 tackles and 3 sacks this year before injury caused him to miss the last five games of the season. Anzalone missed all but the first two games of 2015 after suffering a torn ACL.
