The Tim Tebow baseball era has been more than most fans and media pundits predicted. Tebow homered in his first at-bat on Thursday, and followed it up with a three-run blast on Sunday.
Tebow’s homer came in the bottom of the fifth with Columbia already leading the Augusta Green Jackets 3-0. Tebow was only 2-10 entering the game, but has gone 1-3 (at the time of printing) with a walk today.
Tebow didn’t play in the Fireflies 9-3 win over the Green Jackets on Friday, and is hitting seventh in the lineup. Columbia has not trailed in a game so far this season.
