Florida Gators sophomore Kelly Barnhill pitched her way into the university’s record books on 2017.  On Wednesday, Barnhill was awarded with an ESPY Award as the Top Female College Athlete of the Year. 

Barnhill finished the year 26-4 with a nation-leading 0.51 ERA.  In 193.2 IP, Barnhill struck out a whopping 359 batters. Opposing hitters only hit at a .121 clip against the right handed. 

Barnhill was named College Player of the Year following the regular season.  Barnhill led the 2017 Gators to the Championship Series at the Women’s College World Series.
