The time has come. Tim Tebow will be inducted into the Ring of Honor at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium on October 6. The honor will coincide with the University’s celebrating of the 10-year anniversary of the 2008 National Championship team.
Tebow becomes the sixth member of the Ring of Honor. Wilber Marshall was the most recent addition in 2007. The Ring of Honor debuted in 2006 with four receipients; Steve Spurrier, Jack Youngblood, Emmit Smith, and Danny Wuerffel.
Tebow’s dispay will be 18 feet by 5 feet and located with the others along the North end zone of the stadium.

Tebow played an instrumental role in Florida winning two National Championships and also earned the Heisman Trophy as a sophomore in 2007.
Tebow finished his four year collegiate career with 9,285 passing yards to go along with 88 touchdowns to only 16 interceptions.
Tebow was also incredibly prolific in the run game. He accumulated 2,947 rushing yards and scored an SEC-record 57 touchdowns on the ground. In his Heisman-winning season, Tebow tallied 23 rushing scores.
Tebow is often cited as one of the top college football players of all-time and spent time in the NFL, and was even a first round draft pick by the Denver Broncos in 2010.
Tebow is currently playing baseball and is working his way through the New York Mets’ organization.
