In Florida’s 48-10 drubbing of Colorado State last Saturday, defensive end Jabari Zuniga stood as a man amongst boys. The coaches have been vocal about Zuniga’s potential since arriving in Gainesville.

The consensus has been that he is a monster talent but needs to work on stringing excellent reps together. On Saturday, it appeared that he has received the message. Zuniga terrorized K.J. Carta-Samuels and anyone else who had the misfortune of getting in his way.

On the day, Zuniga amassed 2.5 sacks for a loss of 25 yards, a QB hurry, and five tackles. Zuniga was also there to assist on a pair of tackles for loss.

His performance was good enough to earn him SEC Defensive Lineman of the Week honors. Zuniga and the Gators defense will travel to Knoxville this weekend where they will attempt to shut down the Volunteers offense. Florida has won 13 of the last 14 meetings with Tennessee.
