Florida defeated Texas A&M 78-61 on Saturday to improve to 15-9 overall and 7-5 in SEC play.
How it happened:
After a tightly contested first half that saw the Gators enter the intermission with a three point advantage, Florida pounced on an inferior team in the second half.
The Aggies trailed by only six points with 14:23 to play, but Florida would continue making buckets and eventually saw its lead swell to as much as twenty two with 3:52 remaining in the game.
Florida’s usual several minute stretch of offensive ineffectiveness went missing for at least one night.
Backcourt mates Andrew Nembhard and Noah Locke led the way with 24 and 21 points, respectively, while Keyontae Johnson added 10 points.

Florida returns to the O’Dome on Saturday as they honor legendary former coach Billy Donovan by naming the court after him. The Gators will take on Vanderbilt with the game slated for an 8:00 PM tip-off.
The Commodores are 9-15 on the season and dropped a 61-55 decision to Florida earlier this month.
