Shortly after announcing new assistant coach Will Harris, Florida head coach Billy Napier was ready to continue adding to his 2024 class. Junior college defensive lineman Brien Taylor announced his commitment to UF.

Taylor is a 6’5, 270 lb edge rusher who spent the last two years at Blinn Community College in Texas.
Per 247Sports, Taylor racked up 39 tackles, including 9.5 for loss, and two sacks since 2022.
Taylor was highly sought after with several offers from SEC programs. He had official visits with Tennessee, Mississippi State, and Auburn in addition to his official with Florida last weekend.
Florida finished the 2023 season with a 5-7 record and have seen a significant number of scholarship players leave through the NCAA Transfer Portal.
