Two members of the Florida Gators 2024 signing class were honored with Gatorade State Player of the Year awards, as was announced Tuesday.

Lauren Harden was named Indiana’s Player of the Year while Alec Rothe earned the Ohio honor.

Harden is a 6’3 outside hitter that led Hamilton Southeastern High to a 33-0 record en route to being named Miss Volleyball in the state. She was also named the MaxPreps National Player of the Year.

Rothe led her program to the state title game and a 27-1 overall record from the middle block position. The 6’3 prospect finished her senior season with 295 kills, 145 digs, and 43 blocks while hitting at a .501 clip.

The Gators signed the nation’s number one class according to prepdig.com. Expectations will be high for both Harden and Rothe as their careers with the Gators will get underway in the fall of 2024.
