The No. 10 Florida softball team earned its second run-rule victory of the season over the Stetson Hatters (12-24) Thursday evening.
In the 8-0 win, three Gators (32-5) went yard all on two-run shots.
Keagan Rothrock recorded her sixteenth career win, which marks her fourth on UF’s list of all-time wins by a freshman.
She pitched four innings with one hit, two walks and four strikeouts.
Olivia Miller came in as relief in the fifth inning to record the final three outs.
The Gators scored six of their eight runs on home runs today from Skylar Wallace, Korbe Otis and Ariel Kowalewski.
On her ninth home run of the year, Wallace got all of a pitch in the top of third inning to score herself and Kendra Falby.
Otis and Kowalewski homered in fourth and fifth innings, respectively.
Kowalewski’s home run enforced the mercy rule to end the games in five innings, which gave the Gators their 25th run-rule win of the season.
Florida is back home Saturday at 6 p.m. to start a three-game series against No. 5 LSU.
