SB: Georgia Evens Series With 11-6 Win Over Gators

After a big mercy-rule win in the first game of the series, the No. 12 Gators dropped the second to the No. 11 Bulldogs.

The starting pitcher Ava Brown ended with seven earned runs through four and one third innings of play.

She also gave Florida (38-12, 13-7 SEC) a run on a solo shot in the sixth.

Ariel Kowalewski broke the shutout on a grand slam to left center field in the top of the fourth.

While Korbe Otis homered as well, the Bulldogs’ (37-12, 11-9 SEC) offense more than responded.

The Georgia offense totaled 12 hits and five home runs.

They scored 11 runs to the Gators’ six, and Florida ultimately fell.

The Gators will go for the series win Sunday at noon.
