The Bulldogs (37-13, 11-10 SEC) got three back on a three-run home run but failed to complete a rally.
Keagan Rothrock earned her 20th victory and is tied with Stephanie Brombacher for all-time wins among freshmen pitchers.
The win marks the Gators’ sixth SEC series win this season, only dropping one to Missouri two weeks ago.
Looking for revenge, Florida will travel to Tallahassee to take on No. 16 Florida State in midweek play Wednesday evening at 7.
