
The Florida Gators lacrosse program finds themselves in post-season play for the thirteenth consecutive year. This year, the Gators (17-2, 6-0 AAC) open NCAA tournament action with a rematch from earlier in the season.
Florida will face North Carolina for the seventeenth time in program history. The two programs will take part in the Charlottesville, VA regional Friday at 6:00 PM. The winner will advance to face the winner of the Virginia-Long Island University contest that takes places at 3:00 PM Friday.
The Gators offensive attack is led by Maggi Hall who has recorded 99 points (49 goals, 50 assists). This is the third highest total in the nation. Danielle Pavinelli has added 80 points on 47 goals and 33 assists. Emily Heller has scored 41 goals on the season.
Liz Harrison earned All-AAC honors after a record breaking year in the draw circle. She set program records for most draw controls in a game, season, and career in 2024.
Theresa Bragg and Kaitlyn Davies (both second team All-AAC) anchor the Florida defense. While GK Elyse Finnelle (AAC goalkeeper of the year) has recorded an 8.80 goals against average on the year while stopping more than half (51.9%) of the shots she’s faced.

The Gators have won seventeen straight games since suffering a 19-10 loss to the Tar Heels in Chapel Hill in February. In that contest, Florida was tied at halftime, but was outscored 11-2 in the second half.
For Florida to continue their season, they’ll have to re-write the script that played out in that second half.
