Conor Dwyer has earned a bronze medal in the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil.

Dwyer set a personal best in the event at 1:45.23. Sun Yang of China earned the gold with a late push finishing at 1:44.65. South Africa’s Chad Le Clos jumped to an early lead just as he had, but seemed to fade towards the end of the 150M split. Le Clos stayed strong enough to finish three-hundredths of a second faster than Dwyer.

Dwyer will be swimming in the 4X200M Freestyle relay on Tuesday.  The preliminary heats begins at 1:17PM. Dwyer will participate in the first heat with another former Gator, Ryan Lochte.
