Gainesville- Florida Gators soccer star Savannah Jordan was named the Southeastern Conference’s Offensive Player of the Week on Monday for her contributions to two Florida victories last weekend.
Jordan scored a goal in both games, and also added four assists. Jordan set a career high with three assists in Florida’s 5-2 season opening win against Iowa State.
Jordan was dominant on Sunday against Florida Atlantic, scoring a goal and assisting on another. Jordan may have had several more goals had some of her shots not hit the goal posts.
Jordan’s goals this weekend were number 66, and 67 in her career. The latter moved Jordan into third place in the Gators all-time scoring recordbook.
Jordan will lead the Florida soccer team on a west coast trip against top programs at Stanford and UCLA this weekend.
