ESPN is reporting that LSU has refused to buy out their home game against South Alabama on November 19 to play at Florida.

According to the report, Florida offered the date with the intention to buy out their opponent, Presbyterian College.

Florida outgoing Athletic Director said that Florida would pay about $500,000 to buy out their game. LSU would have to pay South Alabama almost $1.5 million according to LSU beat reporter Ross Dellenger.

According to Zach Abolverdi of SEC Country, the SEC’s lost-revenue insurance policy would cover any losses by LSU cancelling the home date with South Alabama.

LSU did offer Florida an opportunity to play Saturday’s game on either Saturday or Sunday at LSU or in New Orleans.
