COLUMBIA, SC-  The Florida Gators soccer team fell to South Carolina 1-0 on a penalty kick in the second overtime.  South Carolina’s Chelsea Drennan scored the golden goal by placing the penalty kick to the top right corner of the net.  Florida falls to 10-4 overall and 5-3 in SEC play.  South Carolina remains unbeaten (along with Bucknell, the only teams in the NCAA unbeaten), improving to 14-0-1 and 8-0 in SEC action.

South Carolina outshot Florida 15-9 and had more shots on goal, 7-4.  Florida goalkeeper Kaylan Marckese tied her career high with six saves.  Florida had a couple of chances, but were unable to score on the Gamecocks’ keeper, Mikayla Krzeczowski.
