The Southeastern Conference announced Week 8 volleyball awards on Monday. Two Gators were among the recipients. 

Allie Monserez was named the SEC Player of the Week and the SEC Setter of the Week. Rhamat Alhassan was named the SEC Defensive Player of the Week for the second consecutive week. 

Monserez recorded 89 assists and a double-double against LSU on Friday. On Sunday, Monserez contributed 57 assists, a career high for a four-set match. 

Alhassan averaged 1.71 blocks per set against defending SEC champion Texas A&M accumulating a total of 10 blocks in addition to 21 kills. Alhassan earned the award for week 7 as well.
