The Florida Gators are recruiting the 2019 recruiting cycle hard. The work is paying off as Tennessee athlete Jashon Watkins committed to Florida Saturday morning.
Watkins is being recruited as an athlete but is projected as a defensive back. Last year at East Nashville (TN) Magnet School Watkins passed for more than 500 yards, rushed for more than 300 yards, and received more than 100 yards.
Watkins (6-4, 185) also held offers from Kentucky, Tennessee, Ole Miss, and Cincinnati, among others.
