On Monday the SEC announced their week one volleyball honors. Not surprisingly, the Florida Gators were well represented after defeating #1 Texas and #5 Nebraska on consecutive days.

Rachael Kramer was the SEC’s Offensive Player of the Week.

Kramer was named the VERT Challenge MVP as she helped Florida defeat consecutive top-5 opponents for the first time in school history and a #1 team for the third time in program history. She amassed a career-high 20 kills (ninth-most by an SEC player this year) against #5 Nebraska. Her .679 clip versus the Cornhuskers is the fourth-best by an SEC player this year. Kramer is one of two SEC players ranked in the top 10 in hitting efficiency (.549 – third), kills per set (3.44 – ninth) and points per set (3.89 – 10th).

Junior Carli Snyder was also awarded in being named the SEC’s Defensive Player of the Week.

Snyder was named to the VERT Challenge All-Tournament Team as she helped Florida defeat consecutive top-5 opponents for the first time in school history and a #1 team for the third time in program history. She tied her career high with 20 digs against #1 Texas, and broke it with 27 against #5 Nebraska. Snyder leads the SEC in digs per set (5.22) and ranks second in the SEC in service aces (0.78 per set). She is the only Gator since at least 1998 to record six service aces and 20 digs in a match, along with 20.5 points in her performance against #1 Texas.

Florida will travel to San Juan, PR and will take on North Carolina State on Friday.
