On Tuesday the Big East Conference announced the receipients of the weekly lacrosse honors.

For the third consecutive week, Florida had a player who earned an honor as Sabrina Cristodero was named Big East Freshman of the Week.

Cristodero tied a Florida freshman record with 8 draw controls in Florida’s thrilling victory over #23 Loyola on Sunday.

Cristodero caused two turnovers, collected a ground ball, and controlled the opening draw of overtime, which the Gators used to score the game winner.

Through four games this year, Cristodero leads the Gators with fifteen draw controls and six forced turnovers.

Flroida returns to action at 7:00 PM from Dizney Stadium against Jacksonville University.
