The Florida Gators learned their NCAA Tournament fate on Selection Sunday. Florida will head to Dallas as the six seed of the East Region and will play in the late game.
Florida will play the winner of the St. Bonaventure-UCLA first four matchup. The Bonnies and Bruins will faceoff at 9:10 PM on Tuesday from Dayton, Ohio.
St. Bonaventure is 25-7 and recently had a 13-game winning streak snapped to #7 seed Rhode Island in the Atlantic-10 semifinals. UCLA is 22-11 and took #4 seed Arizona to overtime in the PAC-12 semifinals.
The Gators finished 20-12 this year and have gone through spurts of excellent play and patches of terrible play throughout the season.
Florida has pretty much gone the way of Jalen Hudson, the team’s leading scorer at 15.3 per game, who has disappeared in several of Florida’s losses.
