Florida SS Deacon Liput got a late start to the season, but that hasn’t stopped the junior from a torrid pace at the plate.
On Monday, Liput was named the NCAA Player of the Week for his performance. Liput finished the week 9-20 (.450 average) with two homers and seven RBI against FGCU and Tennessee. Liput also maintains an eight game hitting streak.
