On Thursday, Florida Gators softball coach Tim Walton announced the addition of OF Jade Caraway to the program.

Caraway is a rising junior who is transferring from North Carolina State and will have two years of eligibility at UF.

Caraway, a native of Winter Garden, FL, has competed successfully in the ACC and led the Wolfpack with a program record .389 batting average as a freshman.

In two years Caraway has hit two home runs and driven in 38 while batting primarily in the leadoff position for NC State.

Per Florida softball SID, Herb Brooks, Caraway will be eligible for the 2019 season.

Caraway announced her decision to transfer after NC State fired head coach Shawn Rychcik after six seasons at the helm.
