Senior middle blocker Taelor Kellum put on a show at the Honda of Gainesville Gator Invitiational. This week, she is getting rewarded for it by being named SEC Defensive Player of the Week.

Kellum led the team in blocks last weekend with a stellar 22. She even tied her previous career high of seven against the Jacksonville University Dolphins. Averaging 1.02 blocks per set puts Kellum seventh in the conference.

Kellum also made kill after kill. Out of 49 attempts, 28 balls pounded the floor to translate to Florida points. Although her overall clip was .429, Kellum hit an .889 percent (8/9 kills) against FIU.

The Gators will return to the court Friday against Ole Miss to begin conference play.
