Florida first baseman Kendrick Calilao has been named the SEC co-Freshman of the Week after leading the Gators to a series victory over Miami, the conference announced on Monday.
The Kissimmee, FL native went 8-15 in the five games (four starts) he played during the week. He enjoyed a 7-12 weekend against the Hurricanes.
In addition to leading the team in hits for the week, he also paced the team with 6 RBI while only striking out in two plate appearances.
