A great weekend on the recruiting trail just got even better for the Florida Gators. Four star OLB Derek Wingo pledged his commitment to Florida in Saturday night.
RESPECT MY DECISION

Wingo is the eleventh ranked LB in the 2020 class and checks in at number 142 overall nationally. The 6’2″ 210-pound Ft. Lauderdale native comes from the prestigious St. Thomas Aquinas High School and boasts a 247Sports composite score of 93.55%.
Wingo had his pick when it came to prospective colleges and chose Florida over twenty-eight others, including FSU, Georgia, Miami, and Auburn. After an abysmal May, the Gators are trending hot as we head into July.
Linebackers coach Christian Robinson and wide receivers coach Billy Gonzales were Wingo’s primary recruiters and were integral in luring him away from Penn State, where he was committed since Christmas Day.
