Nine months after decommitting to Florida, Ocala wideout Trevonte Rucker announced on Tuesday morning that he would be rejoining Dan Mullen’s second-ranked 2021 recruiting class.
With the addition of Rucker, the Gators’ 2021 class jumps to No. 1, according to Rivals.com,
A product of Vanguard High School, which sits in Gainesville’s south backyard, Rucker is a touted 4-star recruit, according to Rivals.com. In his junior season, Rucker combined for 881 total yards of total offense.
After visiting Auburn during 2019’s Iron Bowl, a game that will go down as another instant classic in the series, Rucker said that Gus Malzahn’s Tigers were high on his list despite not having an offer for him.
However, on Jan. 7, an Auburn offer finally arrived for Rucker.
Nonetheless, Dan Mullen and the Gators found a way to reel Rucker back in — beating out Auburn, LSU, Penn State and Florida State, among others.
With the anticipated addition of Rucker, here’s a possible look at Florida’s receiving room in 2021:
