Florida football is currently ranked No. 2 in the nation in the 24/7 recruiting ranking for the 2021 cycle.
On Saturday, as part of the annual Junior Day event, three-star TE Nick Elksnis announced his commitment to the Gators.
After much thought and prayer, I am overjoyed to announce my commitment to the University of Florida. I was raised a Gator by my grandmother and now it’s time to play as one!! #formygoodbutHISglory @TimBrewster @CoachDanMullen @EpiscopalEagles @ProImpactJax7v7 @ReturnOfJamez pic.twitter.com/bEMQAvQYfe

A 6’6, 220 lb prospect from Jacksonville, Elksnis decommitted from Penn State on March 1 and led by the recruiting efforts of new assistant coach Tim Brewster opted to stay in-state.
Elksnis is rated a three-star prospect by the 24/7 Sports composite and is the No. 15 TE in the 2021 class. He held offers from all of the major in-state programs as well as top schools such as Michigan, Ohio State, and Nebraska.
