A deep wide receiver group is about to get even deeper for the Florida Gators. Late Monday evening, WR Jordan Pouncey was cleared by the NCAA to play immediately.
Pouncey attended the University of Texas before deciding he needed a change of scenery and entering the transfer portal in October 2019. In December, he committed to Florida (along with his brother, Ethan).
The 6’2 WR was a three-star prospect in the 2017 recruiting cycle before choosing to play for the Longhorns.
Pouncey will add another weapon to an offense that has seen eleven different pass catchers through the first two games of the season.
Florida will travel to College Station, Texas for a matchup with Texas A&M on Saturday. The game is scheduled for a noon kickoff and will be aired on ESPN.
