With the completion of the regular season, the Southeastern Conference announced the league’s post-season awards on Tuesday. Florida guard Lavender Briggs and forward Jordyn Merritt were selected to the conference’s All-SEC teams.

Briggs was named to the All-SEC second team after putting up 19.5 points per game and adding 6.5 rebounds. The Provo, Utah native scored a career-high 41 against Arkansas on January 14.

Merritt was named to the All-SEC freshman team and appeared in twenty-two games for the Gators, making six starts. The forward averaged 5.5 points and 3.7 rebounds for the season. She was named the SEC’s Freshman of the Week on February 23.

Florida finished the regular season 10-12 overall and 3-11 in SEC play. The will open the SEC Tournament against Auburn on Wednesday. Tipoff is scheduled for 4:00 PM from Greenville, SC.
