It was a massive day for the Florida Gators Women’s Volleyball team. The All – Southeastern Conference teams and the NCAA Women’s Volleyball tournament seedings were announced earlier.

The Gators had the second-most players selected for the team with five players named. They were behind the Kentucky Wildcats that had seven players named.

Holly Carlton, T’ara Ceasar, Lauren Forte and Thayer Hall all nabbed a spot on the All-SEC Team. Elli McKissock earned a spot on the SEC All-Freshman team.

This was the first SEC-honor for Forte, Carlton and McKissock. For Ceasar and Hall, this was their third time being named to the team.

In addition, the Gators were selected in the NCAA Volleyball Selection Show. The Gators were named the eighth overall seed and earned a first-round bye in Omaha. This will be that Gator’s 30th time in a row making an appearance in the tournament.

The NCAA Women’s Volleyball tournament will begin April 14. The Gators will be taking on the winner of the Moorehead State and Creighton match on April 15 at 3:30 p.m.
