
After they prevailed in Friday’s series opener, the Gators lost to the Aggies 5-0 in College Station, Texas, Saturday.
Senior Texas A&M right-hander Makinzy Herzog struck out a season-high 15 batters en route to hurling a complete-game shutout out. Florida managed only four baserunners the entire game via three singles and a walk.
Florida right-hander Natalie Lugo made her eighth start this year in the circle and surrendered a grand slam in the bottom of the first. Lugo picked up her second loss this season and the Gators fall to 3-2 in conference play – tied for fifth place in the SEC.
