Florida redshirt freshman quarterback Jack Miller is set to start his first collegiate game in the team’s upcoming Las Vegas Bowl on December 17, head coach Billy Napier confirmed Thursday.

Napier’s announcement comes just days after starter Anthony Richardson declared for the 2023 NFL Draft and backup Jalen Kitna’s arrest.

Miller transferred to Florida from Ohio State in December 2021 following Billy Napier’s arrival into the program.

As a freshman in Columbus in 2021, Miller played in four games, completing 7-14 passes for 101 yards.

The 6’3 pocket passer was a four-star prospect out of Chaparral in Scottsdale, AZ and set the state passing record while in high school.

Florida will face Oregon State in the SRS Distribution Las Vegas Bowl on December 17. The game will kick off at 2:30 PM and air live on ESPN.
