Florida two-way star Jac Caglianone was named the SEC Co-Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday.
Caglianone went 11-18 (.611 batting average) as Florida topped rival Florida State in midweek action followed by a road sweep of the defending national champions, Ole Miss.
The sophomore from Tampa hit four home runs, doubled, and scored five runs while collecting eight RBI. Caglianone is the nation’s leader with 17 home runs on the season.
Caglianone started Sunday’s contest on the mound, throwing 3.2 innings but didn’t factor in the decision.
This is the second weekly honor Caglianone has received this year. He shares this week’s honor with LSU’s Dylan Crews.
