Florida head coach Todd Golden is in the process of rebuilding the Gators’ roster and appears to be building from the inside out.
The Gators have already reeled in 7’1 center Micah Handlogten and 6’8 forward EJ Jarvis. Sunday night, 6’10 big man, Tyrese Samuel announced his commitment to Florida via social media.
Samuel spent the last four years at Seton Hall, appearing in 118 games for the Pirates.
In 2022-23, the Montreal, Canada native posted an average statline of 11 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 0.8 blocks per contest.
In addition to what Samuel brings on the court, he is also a three time member of the Big East All-Academic team. He will have one year of eligibility remaining.
