Jackson is rated the nation’s No. 463 overall prospect per the 247Sports composite and the No. 67 DL in the nation. Florida co-defensive coordinator Sean Spence was his primary recruiter to UF while inside linebackers coach Jay Bateman played a role, as well.

Jackson chose the Gators over Miami, Arkansas, and Kentucky among others. Jackson officially visited Florida in June and took trips to those three schools in subsequent official visits.
