Incoming Florida men’s basketball player Gorjok Gak was ruled ineligible for the 2016-17 season, however he is eligible to enroll in classes and work out with the team. Gak must meet progress marks for eligibility in 2017-18 after committing to Florida from Victory Rock Prep in Bradenton, Florida.

Gak was originally committed to play at Oklahoma State, but was released from his commitment shortly after head coach Travis Ford was fired.

Gak is 6-11 and 205 lbs and was expected to provide depth to the Gators front court.

His ability to work out and practice with the team should allow Gak to put on necessary weight and to gain comfort in Florida head coach Mike White’s system.
