Gainesville- The Florida football team was dealt a big blow on Wednesday after finding out that offensive lineman Antonio Riles is out for the season with a torn ACL.
Riles, a redshirt junior, was in competition for a stating spot at the guard position and was expected to provide a veteran presence to a young group.
Riles was hurt during practice on Monday night at the Disney lacrosse stadium. It was the Gators’ first full-pad practice.
The UAA has announced that at head coach Jim McElwain’s next scheduled press conference (on Friday) the coach will address the injury.
