GLENVIEW, IL- The Florida Gators men’s golf team has earned it’s first victory of 2016. The Gators competed in the Windon Memorial Classic and was the only team to shoot under par for the weekend.
Three Gators finished in the top ten overall among individuals. Sophomore Gordon Neale finished four-under for the tournament to lead the Gators and placing second overall.
Freshman Andy Zhang competed in his first collegiate tournament and finished sixth overall and second amongst Gator golfers with a 3-under par score.
The Gators shot a six-under 282 as a team on Saturday and followed that up with a 2-under performance on Sunday. On Monday, Florida shot five-over in part due to thirty mile an hour winds
