FINAL: FLORIDA 6, ALABAMA 0

GAINESVILLE, FL-  The Florida Gators soccer team played a complete game and defeated the Alabama Crimson Tide by a score of 6-0.  Fans and players alike shared in the post game fireworks display, but on the field only the Gators put on a show.
Senior Savannah Jordan started the scoring in the 14th minute with a diving score after a perfect cross by sophomore Mayra Pelayo.  In the 36th minute sophomore Melanie Monteagudo headed Meggie Dougherty Howard’s attempt into the net.

Florida scored four goals in an eight minute span in the second half, with goals from Dougherty Howard, Brooke Sharp, Pamela Begic, and Kit Loferski.
