LAKE BUENA VISTA, FL- The Florida Gators fell Gonzaga in the semifinals of the Advocare Invitational on Friday. Florida allowed Gonzaga to shoot at a 63% clip in the second half, often times with poor defensive rotations leaving Gonzaga shooters wide open. Florida led 37-32 at half, but poor shooting plagued the Gators in the second half.
Devin Robinson led Florida with 18 points, including 13 in the first half, while KeVaughn Allen added 15. John Egbunu scored 15 points while Canyon Barry chipped in 12 off the bench. Kasey Hill scored eight points and assisted on seven more baskets.
Josh Perkins (18) and Johnathan Williams (16) led Gonzaga in scoring. Silas Melson added 12 points off the bench, and hit multiple clutch shots in the final minutes.
Florida will face Miami in the third place game on Sunday.
