EVANSTON, IL- The Florida Gators women’s basketball team fell to Northwestern on Friday night thanks to a fourth quarter let down. Florida led 60-56 after three quarters, but the Wildcats took advantage of Florida shooting only 4-21 in the fourth quarter. Florida also turned the ball over on three possessions early in the fourth frame.
The Gators were led by Ronni Williams who recorded a double-double with 19 points and 13 rebounds. Eleanna Christinaki added 15 points and Haley Lorenzon chipped in 13 for Florida. Tyshara Fleming led Florida off the bench with 9 points.
Nia Coffey led all scorers with 26 points and 14 rebounds to lead Northwestern.
Florida will face Wofford in Ocala at the College of Central Florida’s Patriot Gym on November 30.
