Florida softball players Delaney Gourley, Kayli Kvistad, and Amanda Lorenz were named to the preseason All-SEC team. All three were named All-Americans in 2016. 

Senior pitcher Delaney Gourley went 19-4 in 35 appearances for Florida in 2016. Gourley posted a 0.80 ERA and helped lead the Gators to the lowest ERA in the country at 0.93. Gourley also struck out 224 batters in 157 innings pitched. 

Junior infielder Kayli Kvistad hit .370 in 61 games. Kvistad was a regular in the middle of the Florida lineup and led the Gators with 11 home runs and 60 RBIs. 

Sophomore outfielder Amanda Lorenz led the Gators with a .403 average as a freshman. Lorenz added 8 home runs and 48 RBIs while batting third in the Florida lineup for much of 2016. 

Florida begins play on February 10 in Tampa as part of the Wilson-DeMarini Classic against Illinois Statebb
