Gators #8 in preseason AP Poll

Mike White’s Florida Gators men’s basketball team has some enormous expectations after a surprise run to the Elite Eight last year.

The Gators are ranked #8 in the preseason AP Poll released on Wednesday. Florida was voted #7 in the USA Today Coaches Poll two weeks ago.

Florida is scheduled to play #5 Kentucky (twice), #12 Cincinnati, #24 Baylor, and #25 Texas A&M in the regular season this year. Florida also has possible matchups against #1 Duke and #18 Gonzaga in the Phil Knight 80 tournament.
