On Tuesday, the University Athletic Association announced that the University of Florida and the University of South Florida had agreed to meet for a three game football series beginning in 2022.
The Gators will host the Bulls in Gainesville in 2022 and 2025, but will travel to Raymond James Stadium in Tampa for the 2023 contest.
Florida defeated USF 38-14 in the only previous meeting between the two programs (the second week of the 2010 season).
Tampa has a large contingent of UF alumni and Florida fans will likely flock to the 2023 contest.
According to the UAA press release, the Gators have faced Miami, UCF, USF, FAU, FIU, and FAMU in the last fifteen years in addition to their annual rivalry clash with Florida State.
Florida is scheduled to open the 2019 season with a neutral site game against Miami in Orlando.
