The No. 11 Florida volleyball team can add another win to its tally after topping the Florida State Seminoles in Tallahassee.
The Gators nabbed the first two sets, winning 25-22 both times. Unfortunately, the Noles took the third set, 25-16. But, Florida was able to hit back in the fourth, going 25-19 and taking the match with them.
Florida hit a .212 clip, but forced Florida State into committing a whopping 26 hitting errors.
Freshman Thayer Hall‘s 12 kills led the team for the fifth time this season. Hall tops the NCAA freshman leaderboard in kills (3.73) and points (4.11) per set. Junior Rachael Kramer made seven blocks, contributing to the Gators’ season-high of 14.
The Gators are now 41-20 all-time against the Noles.
Florida will host the Honda of Gainesville Gator Invitational Friday September 14th. Jacksonville, FIU, and Army are making the trip to the Swamp for the invitational.
