Final: Missouri 87, Florida 56

Greenville, SC- The Gators women’s basketball season is over after a loss to Missouri in the second round of the SEC Tournament.

Florida stayed with the Tigers through most of the first half, even ending the first quarter tied at 20. The Gators tied the game at 30 on Delicia Washington’s jumper with 4:39 to play in the half. Mizzou would then go on a 12-2 run to end the period.

Florida coach Cameron Newbauer said that his team clearly felt the effects of playing five SEC games in eleven days, particularly in the second half. Whereas, the Tigers earned a first round tournament bye and proceeded to score 20+ points in each quarter of play.

Funda Nakkasoglu led Florida in scoring in her final game in the Orange and Blue. Nakkasoglu finished with 14 points on 5-13 shooting. Washington added 10 points and four rebounds.

Zada Williams led the inside attack for the Gators, finishing with 7 points and 6 rebounds while Paige Robinson grabbed five boards in the effort.
