Florida head coach Dan Mullen received some good news on Sunday as three-star OT Gerald Mincey announced his commitment to the Florida Gators on Sunday night. The 6’5″ 324-pound lineman hails from Cardinal Gibbons High School out of Ft. Lauderdale.

The commitment comes on the heels of an official visit and is another very important addition for offensive line coach John Hevesy. Florida is adding a lot of beef and depth to a position group that is perceived as the main weakness on the current roster.
Mincey was originally set to announce his commitment in October, but decided now was the time after his visit to the Gainesville campus.
Mincey is currently rated as the No. 102 OT in the 2020 class and has a 247Sports composite score of 84.16%. The Gators beat out rivals FSU, Georgia, and Miami as well as a host of other programs for the mauler’s services.
