Halter played in all five of Florida’s games and hit .545 (12-22) with three home runs, two doubles, and six RBI. Additionally, nine runs and stole a base while not committing an error on 28 opportunities at third base.
The sophomore from Jacksonville’s performance has been pivotal as the Gators have won five straight after starting the season 1-2. Halter has played the role of catalyst, leading off the Florida lineup all year.
The Gators will travel to Jacksonville to take on North Florida on Tuesday before returning to Gainesville for a midweek matchup with Florida A&M on Wednesday.
