Florida Gators running back Demarkcus Bowman has entered the transfer portal after just one season at UF. On3.com’s Matt Zenitz was the first to report the story.
For Bowman, this will be his second time transferring as he arrived at Florida following a transfer from Clemson.
Bowman played in two games for the Tigers in 2020 and appeared in four more with Florida in 2021. He finished with 14 carries for 81 yards in a reserve role with the Gators.
The Lakeland, FL native was a composite 5-star prospect in the 2020 class before signing with Clemson.
Florida’s running back room is still fairly deep. In addition to Nay’Quan Wright and Lorenzo Lingard, Billy Napier added former Louisiana back Montrell Johnson as a transfer and 4-star RB Trevor Etienne in the recruiting cycle.
